Count your money at the counter
Count the money you hand over and the money you receive before leaving the counter. If anything seems wrong, tell our cashier immediately.
We’ve put together the key points to help you exchange money safely. Please take a few minutes to read them.
These simple habits protect both you and your money.
Count the money you hand over and the money you receive before leaving the counter. If anything seems wrong, tell our cashier immediately.
Don’t let others step in or stand too close while you are being served. Be wary of anyone who rushes you or tries to push in front of you.
Apart from our cashier, never let a stranger touch or count your money.
Put your money away discreetly and securely while still at the counter. Avoid counting or showing it outside.
Never trust someone who approaches you outside saying “I’m from the exchange office, we gave you too much or too little.” Any such issue is resolved only inside our branch, with our authorised staff.
After leaving the branch, avoid fights, arguments or sudden crowds. Such scenes are sometimes staged to distract you.
Exchange money only at authorised offices. Don’t respond to people offering “better rates” on the street or on social media.
Check the amount and rate on the purchase or sale document you receive, and keep it.
Every note you receive from our branch has been checked. Still, if you handle foreign currency often, it helps to know the basic security features found on most banknotes.
Genuine banknote paper has a distinctive feel, and raised print can be felt on certain areas.
Held up to the light, the watermark and security thread should be visible from both sides.
When you tilt the note, features such as holograms or colour-shifting ink change appearance.
Outside our branch, do not trust anyone who approaches you saying “I’m from the exchange office, you were given too much or too little money”. If you think there was a mistake, come to our branch and speak to an authorised member of staff.
For anything about your transaction, visit our branch or call us on +90 (216) 338 51 24. In an emergency, call 112.
Rates move with the market during the day. Call before you visit to hear the current rate and check that the amount you need is ready.
