Privacy Notice
How we process your personal data, and your rights.

At Kesepara Döviz ve Altın Ticaret A.Ş. (the “Company”), we take the security of your personal data seriously. This notice is provided under Turkish Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (“KVKK”) to explain, as data controller, how and why we process your personal data. The Turkish version of this notice prevails.

2. Personal data we process and why
a) Currency transactions at our branch
When you exchange currency, we process your identity details (name, Turkish ID or passport number, nationality, etc.), transaction details (currency, amount, rate, date) and, where necessary, your contact details. We do this to meet our obligations under Law No. 1567 and Decree No. 32 on the Protection of the Value of the Turkish Currency and related communiqués, Law No. 5549 on the Prevention of Laundering Proceeds of Crime and related legislation, to issue the purchase/sale document, and to report to the competent authorities.
b) Contact form and email
The contact form on this website passes the information you enter to the email app on your device; form data is not stored on our web server. The name, email address, phone number and message in the email you send us are processed to respond to your enquiry and to contact you.
c) Phone calls
Information you share when calling us about rates or other questions is used only to respond to your request.
3. Legal grounds
We process your data on the grounds set out in Article 5(2) of the KVKK: (a) it is expressly provided for by law; (c) it is directly related to the conclusion or performance of a contract; (ç) it is necessary to comply with our legal obligations; and (f) it is necessary for our legitimate interests, provided this does not harm your fundamental rights and freedoms.
4. Sharing of personal data
Where required by law and upon request, your personal data may be shared with the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, the Financial Crimes Investigation Board (MASAK) and other competent public authorities and courts, under the conditions set out in Article 8 of the KVKK. We never share your data with third parties for marketing.
5. How we collect data
We collect personal data in person at our branch, through presentation of identity documents, by phone and by email, by partly automated and non-automated means.
6. Cookies and third-party services
This website does not use cookies and contains no tracking or advertising analytics. The map on our pages is loaded from Google Maps only when you press “Show map”, in which case Google’s own privacy policy and cookies apply. Directions links take you to Google Maps.
7. Retention
We keep personal data for the periods required by the applicable legislation and for as long as necessary for the purpose of processing; after that, it is deleted, destroyed or anonymised.
8. Your rights
Under Article 11 of the KVKK, you have the right to:
- find out whether your personal data is processed;
- request information about the processing;
- learn the purpose of processing and whether data is used accordingly;
- know the third parties, in Türkiye or abroad, to whom data is transferred;
- request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data;
- request deletion or destruction of data under the conditions of Article 7;
- request that third parties to whom data was transferred be notified of such correction, deletion or destruction;
- object to a result against you arising exclusively from automated analysis;
- claim compensation for damage arising from unlawful processing.
9. How to apply
You can submit requests in writing, together with information and documents proving your identity, in accordance with the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles of Application to the Data Controller, to Osmanağa Mah. Rıhtım Cad. No:6/C, 34714 Kadıköy / İstanbul, or by email to info@keseparadoviz.com. Requests are concluded free of charge within 30 days at the latest, depending on their nature.
